Lots going on! Let’s discuss a few of the highlights from this morning!
* Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano may not be around due to his battle with leukemia. But that doesn’t mean he can’t be an inspiration to his team. He became just that this week as he visited the Colts facility on Monday. He wore a surgical mask to protect his immune system … but he was able to talk to his team.
Per Colts defensive end Cory Redding to NFL.com:
“It was good, good to see him out of the hospital, out of his house, back in his element. To see him at his desk. … He had his mask on and his hat, trying to stay germ-free — but it was good to see him and to talk to him for a bit. When he beats this thing, he’s gonna come back like he never missed a beat.”

* The Cowboys are going to do the dang thing Sunday. That’s right they are going to beat the undefeated Falcons. What? You don’t believe it? Just ask Cowboy’s Defensive Coordinator Rob Ryan!
“You know me, I like credit,” Ryan said. “Our guys, they deserve a ton of credit. Our players work their butts off. Our coaching staff, I’m fortunate and blessed to be around the best coaches. This is the best staff I’ve ever been on, and it’s not close. So good things are going to happen to those that work hard. If we just keep working, we’re going to get better.
“Despite losing, we’ve lost some really good players, but our guys keep going. We’ve got a whole team in there, not just a few individuals. This is really coming together, and I know we’re going to be special. I think we’re going to be special this week. I really do. I think we’re just starting to get that way, and I believe we’re going to have a special game this week.”
Hmmm. Yeah. I’m having a hard time believing this too now that I think about it!

* NY Giants QB Eli Manning was among the millions in the New York New Jersey area left without power after the devastation of Hurricane Sandy. Manning, who lives in Hoboken N.J., was just one of many Giants players without power.
Manning was more fortunate, but he’s among the Giants who went without power. The quarterback watched film on his battery-powered computer as the storm hit Tuesday. Later, he ventured downstairs to see the lobby of his building was underwater. (The image of Manning snapping a cell-phone picture of the flooding became an Internet hit on Wednesday.)
